Info’ re Southern Race Network Event 3/2/21

The GMB’s Southern Race Network has been doing some excellent work recently, and is only growing in size.  The group has been organising anti-discrimination training, and looking at raising awareness about Stop & Search and unconscious bias.

The next event is an online meeting via Zoom entitled Race & Activism in the GMB: Building Union Activity through Covid, and has as a guest speaker Rehana Azam, GMB National Secretary.  This is going to be taking place next Wednesday (3rd February) at 6pm and this is not just an event open to our Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority members – all members are welcome!

Simply click the below box and register to attend!

To help our Southern Race Network to be able to do the important work they are doing it is really helpful for us to know about our members ethnicity and backgrounds. This information enables the network to tailor the campaigns they are working on and the union can understand more about the diversity of our membership.

If you are willing to share this information with us, we have created a quick and easy link to use here:
