NJC PAY Survey

Dear school/local authority staff members

As the NJC Pay Offer for 22/23 was accepted by a majority of members you should be receiving the increase, backdated to April, very soon. If you are in receipt of any in-work benefits, such as Universal Credit, you may wish to ask your employer to stagger the backdated pay you are owed in order to prevent any reduction to these.

Once again the pay increase will be implemented over 6 months past the anniversary date and this is something the Unions would like to rectify. Therefore, the NJC Joint  Trade Unions will be meeting in the New Year to formulate the pay claim for 2023/24 with a view to submitting this to the employer shortly after in the hope that agreement can be achieved in time for an increase in April.

In advance of GMB and the Joint NJC Recognised Unions submitting a pay claim to the National Employer, we would appreciate it if you would please take a few minutes to share with us your thoughts as to what should be included in this.

TAKE PAY SURVEY

As a country, we are facing the most serious cost of living crisis for decades and rocketing fuel, energy and food costs are all having a serious impact on workers and their families’ living standards. GMB is clear that our members within Local Government and Schools not only deserve but need a real term pay increase to ensure they are not left worse off because of increases to the cost of living.

This is your opportunity to contribute to the claim GMB will put forward to the National Employer and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you in advance for your time with this. We hope you and yours have a wonderful and well deserved festive break.

Best Wishes,

Lisa Bangs & Keith Williams
